Men's ELO Rankings 02/04/2018

2 weeks after the last rankings update, the tournament in Miami has finished. Let's take a look at what happened there.

This week's Player of the Week is John Isner. He was the 14th seed at Miami, and won the title, defeating Marin Cilic, Juan Martin del Potro and Alexander Zverev among others. This title gave John 66 ELO rating points, and he gains 13 places in my rankings to #20.

The Upset player of the week award this week goes to Roger Federer. The ELO #1 was the top seed at the tournament, but after getting a bye to round 2, he lost his opening match to Thanasi Kokkinakis. This loss meant that Roger lost 19 ELO rating points, but he stays on top of my rankings, 68 points ahead of the #2 player.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Pablo Carreno Busta, Jeremy Chardy, Frances Tiafoe, Joao Sousa and Vasek Pospisil.
