Men's ELO Rankings 19/10/2015

This week saw a large tournament held in Shanghai, where the top players are looking to secure their place in the ATP World Tour Finals later this year.

This week's Big Gainer of the week award goes to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. With the Upset player of the week's early loss opening up the draw, the 16th seed at Shanghai was the one who took advantage of it, beating Kevin Anderson and Rafael Nadal before losing to top seed and ELO #1 Novak Djokovic in the final. His performance here gave Jo-Wilfried 37 ELO rating points and a new ranking of #9, 4 places higher than last week.

The Upset player of the week this week is Roger Federer. He lost in his 1st match to a low ranked qualifier who earned a place on my other strong performers list below, and lost 18 ELO rating points for the loss. Despite suffering from one of the biggest upsets this year, Roger remains the ELO #2, though the gap between him and #3 Andy Murray has narrowed to 6 points.

Other strong performers relative to their rankings are Bernard Tomic, Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Feliciano Lopez, Martin Klizan and Victor Estrella Burgos.

Now, the the full rankings. New players in my rankings are marked with "NEW" in the ± column.
